Dear Parents/Guardians,

I hope you and your families are having a safe and relaxing summer break. My name is Lakeisha Robinson and I am proud to announce that I am your new Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) President for South Elementary School during the 2017/2018 school year. PTO is a volunteer association consisting of parents, teachers, administration, and support staff who are all committed to the successful education of our children. I have been a part of PTO for the past three years. I joined the organization when my daughter was in Kindergarten. I have a son who attends Mt. Healthy Jr. /Sr. High School; additionally, I am a graduate of the class of 1996 from Mt. Healthy High School. I have roots in our school district and I am dedicated to working towards its continued achievements.

WE NEED YOU! We want to continue making positive contributions to the school district and that will require more parents like you to become a member of PTO. Here is what it takes to obtain family membership:

  • Join before August 15, 2017 and the cost is $3 per family. If you volunteer to help with the carnival, your membership is free.

  • Joining PTO after August 15, 2017 will cost $5 for a family membership.

The organization meets once a month to discuss events, share ideas, and plan fundraisers that are used to enhance all school programs. These meetings serve as a gateway to information on the happenings at our children’s school from the PTO’s perspective.  We are always in need of numerous volunteers to work during our many events throughout the year. This will only require an hour or two of your time. The events are: Book Fairs, Field Days, Popcorn Fridays and many more. Having a great number of volunteers allows flexibility in navigating around our work schedules.

The members of the PTO believe it is very important that we do everything within our abilities to improve the learning environment of our children because they are truly our future. It takes a village to raise one child and it will take all of us working together to ensure our goals are achieved. We look forward to getting to know you and more importantly, working with you toward the continued success of our children. Please feel free to contact me at 513-429-0065 if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

Your new Executive Team
