Dear Mt. Healthy City School District Parents and Guardians,
Due to a rise in illnesses and the quarantines that are associated with COVID 19 cases, in-person instruction is becoming a challenge. On Friday, January 7, Mt. Healthy City School District will not have classes for students. On Monday, January 10 through Friday, January 21, the district will shift to remote learning. Students will return to the classrooms for in-person learning on Monday, January 24.
Students and parents/guardians will receive remote learning instructions from building principals and teachers. If you have technology needs from ANY of the buildings (Chromebooks, hotspots, or troubleshooting), please go to the Jr/Sr High School cafeteria during school hours. We understand the stress this places on parents during remote learning, and we appreciate your consideration as we work together to provide a safe learning environment for our students and staff.
Due to a significant number of COVID cases/quarantines the Jr/Sr High will be remote on January 5, 6 and 7th. Computers for Jr/Sr High students can be picked up by driving down the one-way alley by the cafeteria between 8 am and 4 pm on January 5th. Students at North Elementary, South Elementary, and the Early Learning Center will remain in person at this time. Elementary students will receive their computer to take home tomorrow, January 5th.

On Tuesday, December 21, Mt. Healthy City School District in partnership with the Freestore Food Bank, and No Kid Hungry will provide a breakfast box for about 200 district families for the upcoming holiday. Families will pick up the food boxes from the Mt. Healthy Jr/Sr High School Warehouse from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm. The breakfast boxes will include turkey bacon, sausage, eggs, syrup, and pancake mix in addition to food pantry items for a delicious holiday brunch. Additionally, shelf-stable meals from the Children's Hunger Alliance and Kroger gift cards from No Kid Hungry will provide the first 400 Mt Healthy students who register, plentiful food over the holiday break. Dear Mt. Healthy City School District Families,
We hope that your family had a restful and meaningful Thanksgiving holiday. As we look forward to returning to classes on Monday, Nov. 29, we again ask for your help in keeping our students and staff healthy and safe.
With family gatherings, travel out of town, and more social contact over the holiday, our community could see an increase in exposure and positive Covid-19 cases. Therefore, we are asking Mt. Healthy CSD families to show extra diligence in keeping students at home if they exhibit any symptoms of the virus. The most common symptoms our nurses have seen are sinus congestion, sore throat, headache, cough and fever. Again, please do not send your child to school with any of those symptoms.
Students should also remain at home if they were exposed to a positive case outside of school, unless they are fully vaccinated and have no symptoms. Remember that the mask-to-stay rule (where symptom-free students can stay in school if they wear their mask correctly) only applies to exposure within the school setting.
We ask that all students bring two masks with them to school. One they wear heading into school for the day and one in their backpack. That way, even if they are identified as a close contact during the school day, they will be able to remain at school.
Finally, please remember that you can instantly report your child testing positive or being a close contact by contacting the nurse at your student(s) school.

Attached is a link to a video from the USDA that discusses the current state of food and paper supplies. Mt. Healthy Food Service Department is experiencing manpower, food and paper supply shortages on a daily basis. Please remind your students that we are doing our best to serve the posted menu but may have to substitute food items. As for the trays, plates, boats, sporkettes and other paper supplies, we are limited to the number of cases we can order weekly. Currently, we are cleaning the shelves at local Walmart and Sam's stores weekly to supplement our inventory.

There will be a recipe for making the turkey inside the box and our very own Chef Brian Potter will upload a video so that you have step by step instructions on how to prepare the turkey. Food Service will be providing students with 5 days' worth of breakfast and lunch meals on FRIDAY, October 8th!
Students will receive these at the end of the school day on Friday to take home for the remote learning period. These meals will cover 10/11-10/15.

Mt. Healthy City School District Remote Learning Event
Mt. Healthy City School District recognizes the importance of keeping students and staff healthy during in-person instruction. We appreciate that our students do their best when working in-person with their teachers. We are also mindful of the delicate balance necessary for the wellness of everyone while providing in-person instruction.
Due to a rise in COVID 19 cases and the quarantines that are associated with those cases, that delicate balance of wellness and in-person instruction is becoming challenging. Therefore, Mt. Healthy City School District is taking a proactive approach, for all of our community, by planning a remote learning event that will occur from October 11th to October 22nd. This event is scheduled during a time that our students will be out of school for staff professional development on October 18th and 19th.
Students and parents/guardians will receive remote learning instructions from building principals and teachers. During the time of the remote learning event, our buildings will extensively be cleaned to ensure a safe environment when returning to in-person learning on October 25th.
As a celebration, our Early Center is scheduled to be ready on October 20th. We will be moving items during the remote instruction time so that students will start back at the new facility. We will have a celebration at the Early Learning Center on October 24th at 2 pm for all that would like to attend.
Working together as one, we know we can meet the needs of our students while also keeping everyone safe.

Mt. Healthy City School District Food Pantry is hosting "Dinner at Home" distribution on Wednesday, September 22 from 2:30-4 pm. Families may pick-up a special meal box in addition to the regular food distribution package. The special meal box will include all the ingredients, a recipe for the meal, and a link to a video food demonstration making the meal.
Boxes are available to the first 150 families. Distribution will take place at the Jr/Sr High School Warehouse, behind the school.

Dear Mt. Healthy City Schools Parents and Guardians;
As many of you are aware, we are seeing an increase in COVID 19 cases in Hamilton County and in our district. This increase in cases has led to staff shortages in the transportation department due to COVID-19 quarantines. Mt. Healthy City School District is collaborating with Peterson Transportation to make every effort to staff buses with drivers to ensure that every child is picked up and dropped off on time. However, currently staff shortages are making this very challenging. Current drivers are covering two to three routes to ensure that all bus riders are provided transportation. This is causing some buses to run later than normal during pick up and drop off. We are asking that students/parents please remain at the bus stops until your child is picked up and/or dropped off.
Our number one priority is providing quality education to our students and community. We apologize for this inconvenience.
