My name is Brad Johnson, and I am the Dean of Students at Mt. Healthy South Elementary. My educational career began in the classroom in Dayton Public Schools. Since then I have served as instructional coach, professional development specialist, assistant principal, and curriculum director in Dayton, Middletown, a private school in Cincinnati, and now Mt. Healthy. I have worked with all populations, including four years working exclusively with students with language-based learning disabilities. I've also worked as an adjunct faculty with University of Dayton and Antioch University Midwest, where I taught classes for teachers to earn their reading endorsement. My expertise is in early and adolescent literacy. My purpose is to find "what works" for children who struggle with reading and writing.
